This course environment supports the work of the Moodle development group at Rio Rancho Cyber Academy. It is designed to meet the needs of educators with prior online teaching experiences who want to learn how to develop Moodle environments.
This environment is for the Using Moodle for Blended Instruction (UMBI) or moodlebots group, part of the EDUC8NM project.

I am re-purposing this ePortfolio for the IDEAL-NM eTeacher preparation program. Originally this was my ePortfolio for the LCPS blended learning project.

This version of the NM eTeacher Preparation course was for the first group of eTeachers who provided revision feedback for the V2, the course that they are now teaching. We use the term "Master eTeachers" instead of eTeacher Trainers. Many teachers over the years have asked us not to use the terms, train, training, and trainers. The term master, of course, led nicely to our Star Wars theme in V2.

Test Course for NMSU OTL Students
In this course, students will familiarize themselves with the basic aspects of online learning and get to know the other members of the student group.
This course environment will be used to collect data about beta-testing of online courses.
A survey of the history, concepts, technology, and applications of geographic information systems. Using a combination of lectures, vodcasts, discussion, hands-on exercises, laboratories and project-based learning the student will develop a deep understanding of the underlying principles of GIS rather than a typically superficial one based on training in a particular GIS software package. Although the student will be exposed to professional GIS software, and will employ it to complete the project-based laboratories, the focus is on the geographic principles that drive the software rather than procedural training.
This course is intended for K12 educators as a broad survey of web-based educational resources and the integration of these resources into everyday classroom instruction. Each lesson will create opportunities for developing web-based classroom activities through hands-on competency-based submissions.
This course will give you methods to modify a pre-packaged course using the CAP ROCK mod technique for asynchronous collaboration, engaging online interaction through games, blogs and wikis and tips and techniques for creative feedback and announcement pages for impact. Criminology is: ". . . knowledge concerning the etiology, prevention, control and treatment of crime and delinquency. This includes the measurement and detection of crime, legislation and practice of criminal law, as well as the law enforcement, judicial and correctional systems."
Perspectives in Nutrition is about lifestyle nutrtion and has two primary goals. First, to introduce Learner's to lifelong principles of basic nutrition. This goal will give Learner's the skill to interact with easy-to-use tools to develop an eating plan based on the concepts of variety, balance, moderation, nutrtient and energy density. Second, to provide a "Wider World" look at the nutrition challenges associated with chronic illnesses we, or those we care about, face on a daily basis. Learner's will develop an understanding of at least one of the diseases the Dietary Guidelines for Americans are designed to minimize or prevent.

Hello, I'm your facilitator Holly Rae Bemis-Schurtz . This environment is for educators who want to learn more about implementing Moodle in schools and districts. We will begin with a workshop at the NM TIE Conference 2007. Elements of other Moodle courses I have designed as well as the Moodle.org Features course have been incoprorated along with new material. Additional resources will continue to be added and new members are always welcome.
