Technology Integration

RETA on-site technology workshops are for K12 educators who are interested in learning how to integrate technology into their instructional practice. RETA workshops teach both technology integration strategies and software/hardware skills and can be taken for NMSU credit if desired.

3-Tier Professional Development Dossier

This series of six workshops is for teachers seeking assistance creating the Professional Development Dossier (PDD) needed for advancement to the next level of New Mexico's 3-Tiered Licensure System.

This workshop series begins in late September and consists of 5 working sessions plus a presentation session for review and feedback prior to submission of your PDD in the following February or June. Activities will include planning, organizing, establishing personal timelines, selecting student work, critiquing, and editing as well as technology skill sessions to help you digitize your materials.

NMTA Teacher Competency Preparation Workshops

This online course will help students prepare for the Elementary or Secondary New Mexico Teacher Assessment. It is available in self-paced and instructor- facilitated formats. The course is provided via WebCT, an online course management system.

Self-paced

The self-paced course costs $75 and is not offered for credit. To take this course, you must register as a RETA participant.

Instructor-facilitated

The instructor-facilitated course is offered for one undergraduate (CEL 401) or graduate credit (CEL 495 Special Topics NMTA Competency Preparation). The course costs are the same as NMSU main campus tuition and fees (see NMSU Schedule of Costs) plus a $15 per credit hour Distance Education fee.

In order to take this course for credit, you must register at NMSU and register as a RETA participant.

Internet access is required for both courses.
